SYNCHRONOUSLY CHANGING THE MAIL SENDER NAME | by Serdar Yegulalp

The sender name on an outgoing e-mail, also known as the display
name, is controlled by both the backend Exchange server and the
Outlook client (when Outlook is used). Most of the time, for Exchange
accounts produced from simply-named user accounts in Active
Directory, the sender name is taken from the user account name. (A
user with the login "Jason" will have the display name "Jason".) This
tip explains how to permanently alter the display name.

ARCHIVING FILTERED MESSAGES | Adesh Rampat

Some users may implement filters on their Exchange Servers as an
added precaution against spam mail. When message filtering is
implemented, Exchange, by default, does not automatically archive
filtered messages but instead deletes them. The following procedure
shows how to archive filtered messages on both Exchange 5.5 and 2000
Servers.

SHOULD WE UPGRADE TO EXCHANGE 2000 OR 2003? | Ask Scott Schnoll

Dear Scott:
We have a small network with about 200 users running Windows 2000
with AD and Exchange 5.5. That said, should we upgrade to Exchange
2000 or 2003? I've read some things about them, but all I've really
gotten is words like "scalability and manageability." What specifics
do you know about the differences between the two? Do you think,
based on the size of our network, that we really need to upgrade?
