Windows 98 gets support reprieve (ZDNet)
Microsoft has decided to postpone its decision to end support for Windows 98 on Friday. Instead, the software maker will provide support -- including phone support -- for Windows 98 and Windows 98 SE until June 30, 2006. Microsoft has also announced that support for Windows ME will be available until that date. Support for that version of the company's flagship operating system was to have expired in December of this year.

THE MISSING LINK
Did you hear the scoop about gossip?

Remember when "Wall Street" baddie Gordon Gekko said "greed is good"? Greedy Gordon had it all wrong. Gossip is good. That's the word from the school of nursing at London's City University. Researchers there say they've found that a healthy exchange of scuttlebutt is good for nurses and for other people in stressful jobs. How can a little dish be helpful? It helps people vent and nurtures creativity. Researchers also found that women are more likely to admit that they've been chattin' it up, whereas men tend to refer to their gabby habits as "de-briefing" or "networking."
