ASK THE EXPERT
Restrict users to specific applications
Dear Christa:
I want to set up a Terminal Services environment. However, I wish to restrict users to only be able to see and run their specific applications. For example, users should only see icons for Word, Excel and Outlook on their desktops. They should not have access to anything else including Start, Control Panel, etc. Is this possible?

Son of a geek! Boy named 2.0 goes home
![]()
All of a sudden, being a boy named Sue doesn't seem so awful. Jon Blake Cusack, an admitted geek from Michigan, named his newborn son Jon Blake Cusack 2.0. Stunning -- a name ripped right from the pages of a software company's press release. There's no telling whether the scalable version 2.0 is a best-of-breed or otherwise enhanced edition of version 1.0, although it will take many years of optimization before v2 will pack the
functionality of its predecessor. Let's hope v2 leverages some of Mama's features. It took months for her husband to persuade her that "Junior" and "II" just weren't right.
