BUILDING BOOT FLOPPIES FOR WIN XP INSTALLATIONS | Serdar Yegulalp

The standard and most commonly-employed method for installing Windows
XP, both Home and Professional, involves booting the installation CD
and running the install program from it. In a few cases, however,
booting from CD may not be possible or practical -- for instance, if
the system in question does not support CD booting, or if the
installation image for whatever reason is not bootable. If there is
no recourse to the original media, a boot floppy may be the only
viable solution.

REMOVE SPs AND HOTFIXES THAT LEAVE WIN2K UNBOOTABLE | Serdar Yegulalp

Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows 2003 Service Packs and hotfixes
are usually designed to fix problems, not aggravate them.
Unfortunately, some hotfix or Service Pack installations have been
known to damage a system to the point where it will not boot
correctly. What should you do then?

order to get Windows to start.

CAN I REMOVE THE BOOT-UP MENU FROM WIN2K? | Ask Serdar Yegulalp

Dear Serdar,
I'm having a problem with an error caused by a failure during
reinstalling Windows 2000. After the reinstall failed, I got a
boot-up menu with a choice of "Windows 2000 Setup or Windows 2000."
How do I remove the boot-up menu and have my computer just normally
boot up?
