Microsoft has started beefing up its security coverage in the developer side of its certification exams. Two new exams aim squarely at developer knowledge about implementing application security for Microsoft's two primary programming languages (VB and C#) and its primary development environment (.NET).

Dear Ed Tittel,
I have earned an A.A in Computer Networks and Systems Tech. and currently I am attending school for a BS in Business and Management. I've also spend the last three years working for a company as a "computer operator" in a UNIX and Linux environment. I like Unix and would like to continue my exposure to it. Unfortunately it seems that the "computer operator" title seems to put off potential employers. With my schooling and limited experience what would you recommend I do?
