Microsoft puts security into developer curriculum
[Ed Tittel]
Last month, Microsoft started beefing up its security coverage in the developer side of its certification exams. Microsoft's new online training options
[Ed Tittel]
Microsoft recently announced a battery of e-learning courses for Windows Server 2003 topics. What's interesting is that these offerings either partially or completely meet published training requirements for a number of Windows Server 2003 certification exams. At $199 per course, they are a real bargain.

Security roll call: Online resources to the rescue

There are a number of resources that can help you keep Outlook secure. Familiarize yourself with them, or you may be leaving yourself open to potential security perils.

Ask the Experts: Should I get certified on Win2k if I work at a non-profit?
[Ed Tittel]
Dear Ed,
After completing my MCSE track on NT4 five years ago, I was promoted to Network Admin in a non-profit hospital. I was told by a headhunter that staying here longer will hurt my career, because companies like people that move every few years because they get varied experience. Being non-profit, there is not much money for training, and the pay is mediocre. I am still not certified on Win2k yet. Should I stay here and self study to upgrade my certification before moving on, or cut the cord now and make a jump into a more progressive environment?
