AD Cut Down Pre-Deployment Patch Testing Times.
Deploying a patch without testing its impact on your software can be catastrophic, but pre-deployment patch testing can take too much time. That's why administrators use Patch Impact Manager to make patch testing more efficient. Patch Impact Manager runs pre-deployment scans to identify every application impacted by a patch, so you can focus testing only on those affected programs. TRY IT NOW!

What's that strange file (~) on my desktop?
[Serdar Yegulalp]
Users of Outlook Express 5.5 or 6 who have applied the security patch outlined in Microsoft Knowledge Base article 330994 may notice a file appearing on the desktop with the name ~ -- that is, a single tilde character. Some users are inclined to blame viruses or spyware; even though the file can be deleted, it often reappears on its own for no apparent reason.

Retrieving and modifying the product key for Windows XP
[Serdar Yegulalp]
The Windows XP product key is the 25-digit alphanumeric string, in the format AB123-123AB-AB123-123AB-AB123, used to license copies of Windows XP. At some point it might be necessary to change the CD key for an installed copy of XP. Learn how to do it in this tip.
