Here's a German thief who may qualify as one of those thousand points -- or in this case, pixels -- of light. After the computer cad from Koblenz stole a laptop, the owner gave chase. But the owner should have stretched first -- he tripped on the sidewalk and broke his arm. Hearing his pursuer wail in pain, the thief halted, apologized and handed back the laptop before he took off again.
