We would like to keep it free, but it depends more on what sponsors are willing to do than on what we want. If we have to charge a fee to get a venue with adequate capacity, then that's what we'll have to do. I should mention that SeaPIG is not a nonprofit, so contributions are not tax deductible. I asked the PSF if they might be willing to be a nonprofit umbrella for local groups, as Team Seattle is for several sports clubs. The treasurer said he'd look into it but it would be a lot of paperwork and accounting that might not be of sufficient benefit to the PSF. Of course, the PSF is also willing to reimburse for particular expenses that promote Python. Brian, did we ever get anything back from the last Python Day? -- Mike Orr <[email protected]>
