Hi, I just wanted to give thumbs-up to a talk on NumPy. I'll go, if I'm in town. I'm guessing a run-down of the basics plus a use-case from your (or one of the speaker's) work would be plenty.
I'm interested in data-mining and machine learning examples, but I'd be happy to learn the basics: how to allocate and deallocate arrays (do you have to free these things? If not when are they garbage collected?), common usage idioms, maybe common gotchas. Thanks for presenting on a cool topic. -chris
