I still use awk now and again. It has the vast advantage of simplicity, so that I do not need to be steeped in the language to make use of it.
But if there is going to being a last polymorphic-typed interpretive language, I suspect it will be JavaScript, which is pervasive, and which Google is steadily working on improving. Randolph
