James,

Excellent idea if there is time I think we should all talk about the idea more.

I will also toss out that I've started a "code gathering" meeting called SeaPyMon.

It currently is on summer vacation right now, but will be starting back up in the Fall.

This is for people who want to get together to talk and write Python code together.

We meet at the Belltown Uptown Espresso shop on the 4th Monday of the month.

Also for those having trouble getting to a SeaPig Meeting.

There is also another Python Meetup Group.

It gets together in Downtown Seattle.

Typically on the 1st Tuesday of the Month.

Check it out here

At SeaPIG we often discuss how we should run the group. Saw this on

tonight.

From the posting:
I'm an organizer of the Boston Python Meetup, and in the last six
months Jessica McKellar and Asheesh Laroia came on board, and we've
ramped up the activity in the group. We're also starting to talk more
with other Python user groups elsewhere, so I thought it would be
useful to describe how we ccurrently run ours. Of course, if you are
in the Boston area, I heartily encourage you to join us!
