The SeaPIG server had some hiccups today. It ran out of disk space this
morning and began bouncing mails, and at noon it got CPU-overwhelmed and I
rebooted it. From the logs it looks like a blast of wiki spam, lots of
requests like "http://seapig.org/LuciaWBWW?action=login";, with different
first names and a robust number of last initials. And lovely referers like "
http://blo.gs/ping.php"; and "
http://www.seapig.org/couponst7?action=newaccount";. Sometimes it's fun to
look at logs for gems like these.

And one extremely suspicious user, "
http://www.seapig.org/BrianDorsey?action=login";. :) Did you get a wiki
error at 9:38 this morning? That was when the disk was full.

The upshot is that list mail and the wiki may be unreliable over the next
few weeks until I can rebuilt it with Ubuntu 13.04, which is expected later
this month and which hopefully Linode will support soon. So I'm partly
testing the mailing list and also...

When will the next meeting be? Its normal day would have been yesterday. We
should do a PyCon recap before too long while it's still fresh in people's
minds. Shall we do something in the next week or two or wait till May?
Shall we have it on a non-Thursday for the sake of those who are always
busy Thursdays?

Also, the annual server bill is coming April 30th, for $240. So I'm looking
for contributions to help offset the cost. If you want to contribute, you
can email me, use my PayPal account (same address), or see me at a meeting.
