I've gotten win2k to share files with samba server, but it wont do domain
logons. I've dug around the net and read every man page and howto I can.
Half of them say do this do that and it doesn't work, the other half flat
out say it will not work.
Even the Linux-centric texts I've read on the problem seem to blame samba
though. I thought this was odd because win95,98,98SE,ME all log on domain
fine. Its just the big expensive one that will not.
Apparently you need to run some new version of samba, but I'm afraid to
compile and install the thing incase it breaks what is already working. If
RH put out a few rpms of the newer samba, I'll dink with that, but until
then I just live with the fact win2k wont log on. It still shares files so
no big deal really, I just don't like things that don't work all the way:)
