try editing the sendmail.cf in /etc
and change the following from
# O DaemonPortOptions=Port=smtp,Addr=127.0.0.1, Name=MTA

to this

O DaemonPortOptions=Port=smtp, Name=MTA

this worked for me !!!

Then just add in the IP add's of your hosts that you want to sendmail from
in the
/etc/mail/access file and restart sendmail...

Later

Hello.

There is a parameter in sendmail.cf that allows or not external connections
,modify this

Edit /etc/mail/sendmail.mc and regenerate a sendmail.cf file to accept
connections from the outside.
