Hello Andreas

Don't know if there's a paper with MY experience somewhere ;-), but I like
the speed to issue patches whenever a security bug is found.
Of course Slackware benefits from .tgz (a patch exists first in this
format), but I found slackware a little harder to maintain compared with
Red Hat's up2date.
Other distros have their updates packageas after the Red Hat ones (some are
a looooong time after). Subscribing to BugTraq will give you a view of all
the above.
Best regards

Miguel Dilaj

Subject: Paper describing the merits of RH Linux

Hi,

has anyone a URL ready where I could find a paper describing the merits of
RedHat Linux compared to other distributions, say SuSE...

The stuff I already found on the net was mostly too old or compared things
like the ease of installation, which is of absolutely no importance.

I'm much more interested in things like good usability.

Thanks in advance,
 andreas
