Perhaps I'm doing something wrong but I think it may be xcdroast!

All I wanted to do last night was copy a regular cdrom data disk. No
mp3's or other fancy stuff. I used the latest version of cdrecord and
xcdroast rpm's from the home website. Everything is installed and working
correctly.

First, I tried reading the cdrom to disk. That worked just fine. I then
tried verifying the freshly read data and I got a single error that
appeared in the same place everytime about there being a short read
error??

Moving right along I selected to copy the disk on the fly. What I ended
up with was a garbage disk of the correct size but instead of data there
was an empty file with the name of the mount point ie /mnt/cdrom. I even
tried writing from the saved file with the exact same results. I tried
both DAO and TAO...same results.

There were no errors listed by xcdroast. It thought everything was just
peachy!

Anyone with pointers on what I did wrong other than booting to windows in
frustration and completing the copy there with easy cd creator on the
first try?
