upgrading to RH7.1 killed by ppp connection

Hi all,
 
Since upgrading to RH7.1, I can no longer connect to my service provider. It is not a problem with the modem since I can connect with a windows2k os also installed on the machine.
 
I turned debugging on pppd and during the CHAP authentication, it complains that it can not do the authentication as the challenge is rejected.
 
I have quadrapule checked by account information.
 
Anyone have any ideas?
