Hello I searched the web for info on your server:; "A dual-channel Ultra Wide SCSI controller is integrated on the motherboard" Scsi is what I suspected. The kernel needs to know what kind of scsi controller you have. You should see some kind of message from it when you boot the system. Write it all down, well at least the make/model of card. Reset the machine and get into the bios. See if you can find the irq for the controller. (11 is common for Adaptec's) Do you have Windows installed? If so do: control panel->system->device manager->scsi controller->whatever->properties->resources Write down the IRQ and other info. While your in there get the info on your video card, modem and NIC(S) At the linux 'boot' prompt: linux aha152x=0x340,11,7,1 (this is for my ThinkPad 755CX with Adaptec AHA-1520 in the docking station) It will of course be different for you. You may need to make another floppy using the d:\images\drivers.img. Anaconda will ask for this floppy to load the driver for your scsi controller. This seems to have been a very expensive computer. This means that your audience is smaller. Hopefully IBM used a standard SCSI chipset. Anyway once you I.D. it other people will be able to help you with it. Let us know how it goes.
