First, I would use Xconfigurator --preferxf4, and thus use the newer X
version 4.  The problem is that you only have one X server installed, and
the S3 virge requires a different one.  Thus, you must install the other
server (XFree86-S3V-3.3.6*) to get it to work with XFree86 version 3 (and
use Xconfigurator --preferxf3 or just Xconfigurator).
