Hello, I have got problems with printing from my Linux box (RH 7.1) to a Win2000 printer (HP LaserJet 6L). All informations inserted in "printtool" are correctly filled in. I do not know why this connection does not work. I succeed in setting up the Win2000 box being a "Unix printserver". Running the Win box as a remote LPD works fine. I have tested if I can print over samba to the Win box running RedHat 6.2 (and samba 2.0.8). No problem! Also, running 7.1, I can connect to the Win printer using 'smbclient //winbox/printername -P username' and doing a 'put filename' does print it out on the Win box. It does not matter if I run samba 2.0.8 or 2.2.2 on the 7.1 machine. Maybe this is an LPRng problem?
