Hi Alimin,

the problem began at my site, when i changed the KDE icon on my
(normal account) desktop from executing (execute as root)

/usr/bin/konsole -ls

to

kstart --activate --desktop 2 --maximize /usr/bin/konsole -ls

A collegue of mine said, that the first way changes the uid
but does not modify the X11 rights.
The second way changes both. So I now have to enter
'xhost +localhost' from my normal account.

Mybe this does not apply to you - you might have completely logged
in as root.

There was another posting for this thread, telling something about
'pam', maybe that's the truth and 'xhost +localhost' helps in
both situations.
