We had this discussion just a few days ago in this list (see the archive
for details). Conclusion: Telling you the package instead of the needed
file is dangerous because it might have moved somewhere else in the
meantime. Installing rpmdb-redhat and using
rpm -q --redhatprovides filename.so
will help you locateing the right package if you only use packages from
Red Hat (again see the archives for suggestions on adding third-party
rpms to the database).
