You should ask this on the enigma-list, as it is more applicable to 7.2.

First, can you receive mail locally? If not, you should probably comment
out the DAEMON_OPTIONS line in /etc/mail/sendmail.mc and regenerate the
sendmail.cf file. If this is the case, let me know and I'll give a more
detailed description.

Second, if you can receive mail locally, can you receive it from a location
on you internal LAN?

Third, what do you have in /etc/mail/access? You should put the IP
addresses that you want to be able to relay in that file and restart
sendmail.

Subject: Mail relay for Pop and smtp mail users only

I am using sendmail 8.11.2 on linux 7.2.
How can I setup my sendmail so that my mail users
can use outlook express to pop mail and send mail (smtp)
using my mail server from different locations.
However, I do not want to allow spammers from
using the mail sever (smtp) to relay mail through my mail server.
I have tried access_db and relay-domains but no avail.
Currently I have my sendmail.cm file set to Feature (promiscuous_relay)

Thanks anyone for their ideas and suggestions in advance.
Alfred.
