Yes I am using KDE but I am also using a Win4Lin enabled kernel.  If I
update the regular kernel will I have to update my whole Win4Lin setup or is
this something I should be asking on the Win4Lin list.  Any suggestions
would be appreciated.

Are you using KDE?  I remember this problem happening before I got KDE
updates (IIRC).  Try updating your system and see if that helps.
