I see, so this is purely academic? I guess I just can't see the sense in trying to maintain ip masq and port forwarding and all that under two separate OSes on one machine, when a simple hub or switch would do the trick. Sorry I can't help you with the two NICs problem, you might try changing the PCI slot for one of them, hopefully they will then grab different IRQs. Hopefully XP will not croak on you at that point. If you really want to learn how to do routing, IP masq, firewall, etc with RH, there are lots of howtos and info. I'm sure you can learn a lot. If you want to just get your network going, sell your extra NICs and buy a cheap hub.
