Hi, Iam running RH 7.1 seawolf.Recently on my NIS server the passwd checking is not working properly.When I enter the passwd for root it only checks for the first 8 characters(my root passwd is more than 8 characters) and leaves the rest unchecked(that is no matter what I enter other than my original passwd characters after the first 8 characters it logs me in).
What could be the reason for this?. Thanks in advance.
