hi list,

have a mystery problem on my RH 7.1-box:
have a directory, so called /internet on the RH7.1-box. have also an entry in
/etc/exports like this :

/internet hanna(rw) goethe(rw,insecure)

but trying to mount /internet on hanna or goethe ends in getting an RPC-error:
cannot get an rpc-connection RPC:connection refused

the reverse way: an exported nfs-filesystem, so called /test on an mdk8.0
cannot be mounted on the RH7.1 box. the result here :

RPC timeout

connections between RH-boxes are okay, as well as connections between mdk-mdk
or suse-suse

calling the "rpcinfo -p hanna" from RH7.1(mozart) looks like :

rpcinfo -p hanna :

   Program Vers Proto Port
    100000 2 tcp 111 portmapper
    100000 2 udp 111 portmapper
    100024 1 udp 32768 status
    100024 1 tcp 32768 status

    100021 3 udp 32771 nlockmgr
    100021 4 udp 32771 nlockmgr

rpcinfo -p mozart :

   Program Vers Proto Port
    100000 2 tcp 111 portmapper
    100000 2 udp 111 portmapper
    100024 1 udp 32768 status

    100005 2 tcp 32769 mountd
    100005 3 udp 32769 mountd

    100003 3 udp 2049 nfs

    100021 3 udp 32770 nlockmgr
    100021 4 udp 32770 nlockmgr

doing a "service nfs status" shows as follows :
rpc.mountd (PID 952) läuft ... (is running) .....
nfsd (PID 970) läuft ...
969 (PID 968) läuft ...
967 (PID 966) läuft ...
963 (PID 962) läuft ...
961 (PID ) läuft ...
rpc.rquotad (PID 943) läuft ...

on both systems.
has someone an idea, what's going on here ?

any help is very welcome - indeed.
