so what you're saying is that they're checking for the ipx ports on my linux
machine? Well, then if I comment them out from /etc/services, the problem is
solved, right?

If you are certain that you don't hae ncpfs installed, then they are, 
most likely, checking for those ports, and not with the actual slist 
command.  If you can contact the people that do the audit, I would ask 
them which ports that it checks, and block those via ipchains.
