Bill is correct, of course, but I thought that it was worth a try.  Why 
don't you try `netstat -na|grep :213` (I believe it is port 213).  That 
should tell you if anything is listening on the ipx port.

Well, maybe not.  I have slist on one of my computers, but nothing shows 
up as listening on port 213, even if I continually run slist.

This is all very strange, especially given the fact that you don't have 
ncpfs installed.  slist does not take any parameters, thus I don't see 
how you could perform it remotely.  slist just lists the servers found 
at the nearest IPX router.
