I'm not really sure what "EnterNet" is, in all honesty. I do know that here in the Indianapolis region, they told me that all I really needed was to set my system to use DHCP to get my address, and that there was no need for a PPPoE client.
But, it couldn't hurt to try it. If your setup does require some sort of authentication, it might be using PPPoE, in which case, you might want to obtain Roaring Penguin's PPPoE client for your Linux box.
