I have tried to upgrade the kernel with the os updates cd (image from rh), the dep's require filesystem update to 2.10.xxx. when I try to update or install the version of filesystemxxx.rpm it fails with error "cpio filesystem read only error", and I have tried single user, boot from floppy and other variation on that theme.
Has anyone had this prob ??? Help would be appreciated as I have given up on this for a few weeks now & would like to get this done. Rest of the OS and P/tools updates have been fine.
