It will update the rpm's and any modified files  should either be 
untouched, or saved with a '.rpmsave' extension. You may also see some 
'.rpmnew'  files. If you have added some packages that are not rpm's 
(say,  compiled  from .tar packages), you may have some problems. In 
that case, you might want to install from scratch.

Might want to backup beforehand, just in case.
