Depends on several things. For the most part, I've had no problems
with upgrades and I've upgraded several 7.0 servers to 7.2.
Confguration files should always be backed up but rpm is pretty good at
saving the old file as <file>.rpmsave or the new one as <file>.rpmnew.
However, upgrading -- say -- 7.0 to 7.2 with Raid 0 can be a little
frightening. Also, if you have installed any software not on the
Redhat disks, it may need to be reinstalled after the upgrade because
of changes in the libraries.
