A modem issue

Hi there, I have Linux RedHat 7.2 installed on my machine and I don't have any modem in the board so I have decided to buy one but the thing is that I don't know what kind of modem is supported by RedHat 7.2, in other words, I want to buy a modem (PCI) certified by RedHat or if there is anybody with a modem running in Linux RedHat 7.2 please tell me what type of modem is.....
