First, all the comments you got about partitioning first... Yes, exactly. Do all that stuff first. Next, I happen to know, from experience, that RH 7.1 does NOT support the nVidia GeForce 2 MX 440 video chipset. nVidia does provide X drivers for the GeForce 2 MX 220 chipset, although I personally haven't gotten it working right yet (on a fairly new HP Pavilion desktop machine). I think this MX 220 driver might work with the MX 440, but will likely not take full advantage of its features. No promises, though. You might be stuck until nVidia upgrades their drivers. What this means is, you will have to install Linux initially WITHOUT X-windows support. Then, you will have to download the drivers from nVidia, from their website. Install those; THEN you can try installing X-windows. Good Luck!
