Well, mainly cost (I prefer to have the CD's on hand for emergencies).

Secondarily, to keep the exact same version of the OS on all my Linux
machines.  Keeps the number of headaches down, since they all share the
same library of RPMs.  On the other hand, it would have been nice to
have identical hardware for each machine, as well.  Bloody hardware
evolves faster than the software, that's for sure.  *shrug*  C'est la
vie.

Finally, when I do eventually upgrade my CD box set, I will have to
implement it on a whole bunch of machines, not just one.

I bet I could come up with a few more excuses; but by then, I could have
just downloaded all the nVidia drivers, and...
