OK, now, as root, in the shell, run netconfig
and enter the relevant details for your network putting the ip address of your windows box as the gateway, 255.255.255.0 as the gateway and either your windows box's IP address as your nameserver or a public domain server that your know. then, still as root, type /etc/init.d/network restart then type ifconfig again and let me know if the output has changed.
