After seeing the 31c3 presentation on DP5, a
PIR-based protocol for anonymized presence, I
realized that both GNS and multicast are
probably smarter ways to address the problem.
I have elaborated the details on

and pointed both the authors of DP5 and GNS
to it, hoping to get some feedback from them.
As you may know, secushare plans to use pubsub
over anonymized multicast for presence as much
as any other 1:many or 1:1 data distribution
needs. Read more on http://secushare.org/pubsub
GNS is our fallback option, should multicast
somehow fail at delivering presence.
