I solved the problem following the suggestions found at this link : http://lists.samba.org/archive/rsync/2003-November/007724.html
I just put into the batch file the following lines : @set HOME=c:\docume~1\user1 @set HOMEPATH=c:\docume~1\user1 @set USERNAME=user1 and suddenly the batch scheduling works ! Thanks to everybody Bruno
