Excuse me for asking, but why ipchains, when you have iptables avaliable ? The non-stateful packet inspection nature of ipchains makes it, in the best cases, tricky to use. And in the worst cases, dangerous. Also, the lost of functionality (compated with iptables) is easily noticed.
