I must agree with you on this one. I myself was not too worried, if it had been that dangerous, it Was opened on a test machine, that I use for purposes like this.
But a little more information on the link would have been more Courteous in the long run I think. Just my 2 cents worth. -----Original Message----- From: Kevin Guidry [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, March 06, 2002 2:00 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: scary site --- leon <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > http://www.liquidwd.freeserve.co.uk/ > > > Try it with a windows machine and IE with all > patches. Can you please put some sort of description in the message when you send something like this other than "Hey look at this! It might screw your computer up!" ? A brief message such as "this is essentially harmless and just a proof-of-concept" or even a warning such as "Don't go here from a Windows 2000 computer running IE 6.0!!" would be very helpful and reassuring. As it is, I am interested in visiting that URL but your message was just scary and vague enough to insure that I *won't* visit it. This reminds me of people who always say things like "Wow, this smells terrible. Here - take a whiff!" :) Kevin __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Try FREE Yahoo!
