I must agree with you on this one.
I myself was not too worried, if it had been that dangerous, it 
Was opened on a test machine, that I use for purposes like this.

But a little more information on the link would have been more
Courteous in the long run I think.

Just my 2 cents worth.

   Can you please put some sort of description in the
message when you send something like this other than
"Hey look at this!  It might screw your computer up!"
?  A brief message such as "this is essentially
harmless and just a proof-of-concept" or even a
warning such as "Don't go here from a Windows 2000
computer running IE 6.0!!" would be very helpful and reassuring.  As it
is, I am interested in visiting that URL but your message was just scary
and vague enough to insure that I *won't* visit it.
   This reminds me of people who always say things
like "Wow, this smells terrible.  Here - take a
whiff!" :)
