Well,
Yes, that is what 3Com want you to believe. Return the switch for resetting
the passwords. However 3Com have backdoor passwords in EVERY (yes, EVERY)
product. I had them all (incl. the 1000/3000 series) but i lost most of them
(and they are VERY secret to customers). In some switches you can find the
backdoor in the flashrom file, ie. 1100/3300 series: login: 3comcso
password: RIP000 

The 1000's i have now are pretty secured, all standard login's (like
manager, monitor etc.etc.) are disabled. And the backdoor cannot be found in
the flashfile.
