Why is it part of ANY default install??? > I think it is part of the default install because BSD is usually targeted for servers. I personally use OpenBSD as my Desktop but thats just me. Really, I think it comes down to the fact that even though OpenBSD installs sendmail defaultly they still yet to have a crackable default install over the last 4 (5 by now?) years.
