Hi again everyone.

I'm quite happy my question lighted up a few discussions related to
wireless technology and I thought adding a few details to what I meant
could also help people to better help me ;)

When submitting my post, I first thought about Wellenreiter (available
at http://www.remote-exploit.org). This program uses the data from a GPS
and a wireless card to be able to detect wireless networks. Now, I'm not
a wireless experts so I don't know exactly what kind of antenna would be
the best. I talked about that with my father, who's quite experienced
and he told me using a directionnal antenna with a rotor could do the
job. I thought about that again and asked myself if I could do the same
thing for intruders and that's where it leaded me to.

Some people said Netstumbler could do the job. But how does that work?
Does it work the same way Wellenreiter do? If you want to add any
comments/experience notes/etc please do so ; I am really interested to
know more about wireless technology as I am trying to find some cheap
D-Link DWL-500 cards to modify them to add external antennas. And, some
users also talked about WEP and said that it could easily be cracked ; I
would probably get around that by using IPSec, which looks to me as the
best choice.

Thanks again for all your posts so far :)
