I've just checked with the responsible party. Summarizing... In general the only offending file that repeatedly shows up is /.rhosts. To that end he is about 50% through assessing the testsuite sources and wrappers and have identified multiple offending scripts that will need the fix. For each script identified as having occurrences of /.rhosts, the scripts will be changed to use the "getent passwd root" interface. His ETA for having changes made internally is 12-oct-2007 which is 2 1/2 weeks from today. I'd expect slightly more time for possible slippage and procedural changes, but the work is definitely actively in progress. Thanks, Paul
