The recommended method for transferring files is tar (using the T option)
-- the TX tar has been specially coded to understand TS8 tar T files.

Given that they're both CIPSO you can ftp the tar T file.

There are recent TS8 tar patches, you'll want to get those.

The file systems are different, so I'd be surprised if nfs works in a
usable way for you. I suppose if there are directions for mounting nfsv3
on TX, and if there are directions for exporting TS8 filesystems to
Solaris systems, you might be able to find a way, but it's not tested because
tar is the designed method for transferring files from TS8 to TX. You'd
have to keep un-exporting and re-exporting the file system at each different
label.

TX has no forced or allowed privs on files, the filesystems are
regular Solaris file systems and zones, not specially-coded TSOL
file systems like TS8.

TX system. I was hoping I could use NFS to make this process easier. The TSOL8
system is in the cipso security family and so is the TX system. My hope was
that I could mount /export/home from the TSOL8 system onto a temporary
mountpoint and then 'cp' the files to the appropriate places. Honestly, I've
tried so many different combinations of things at this point that I can't even
remember them all, but I'll just throw this out as a "can I do this?" question.
I've heard that only NFS v4 is supported by TX, which obviously the TSOL8
system
can't support. Do I need to perform a "mount" command within each zone? If so,
do I need any special options on the mount command? Should I be "root" when
performing the mount?
