The NFSv4 restriction applies to TX as the server. If you are using 
TSOL8 as the server, NFSv3 should work. Since there is no privilege 
interoperability between these systems, the TX client would be 
constrained by the MAC policy enforced by the TSOL8 server and the TX 
client.

What kind of failure message do you get on the TX client?
