Darren, Yes, you are correct, we would potentially have to copy the entire LDAP database of user data to the mobile device and we would not know the user information in advance for a given mobile device.
We would not have a problem with copying the entire LDAP database to the mobile device. We could get by with just the passwd, shadow, user_attr, project data, but it would be even better if we could sync the user's home directory. What will it take to get this issue looked at, and do you possibly know what we can do to make it happen? Do we need to call someone, fill out some paper work on-line, etc....?
