Hi All - Sorry to post anonymously, but I'm employed and would prefer to remain so until I find a better opportunity.
I'm wondering whether there are any security/security services-oriented companies out there looking for people. My current company is in pretty good shape, but there's no sense of teamwork or overall involvement with the company - sit in your cube and do your work (six days a week since last July). I've been in my current position just over a year, working on a new NIDS product. My main responsibilities have been helping to create the base of protocol inspection modules and network attack signatures to go with them. I've also been very involved with documentation generation and helping test the firmware/other tools. Previous experience includes an MSSP (technical, operations, and some SE & training)and various sysadmin/security/web programming positions. Mainly, I'm interested in a position where I'm going to feel more involved and have more interaction with people, be they internal or external (customers, etc).
